Throughout my time working in private equity backed companies I saw first-hand the enormous pressure leaders of companies that had secured investments were under. I saw chaos in conflicting priorities during the growth period and I saw business leaders unable to reach their targets due to overwhelm, confusion, silo working, lack of clarity, loss of confidence and ultimately several getting pushed out.

When I left corporate life to pursue entrepreneurship, I had companies approach me for support on business and commercial strategy (I had delivered a business turnaround for the division I was in charge of previously). I started working with recently invested tech, SaaS and biotech companies and I saw the same pressures they were under. They were falling under the same trap of being busy, being overworked, the hustle but without making the real progress they had promised their investors and ultimately missing the milestones they had set and agreed to.

These companies had BIG ideas, they had the potential to be market innovators with their products and services… but they were not reaching their potential. Not only that the founders and leadership team mental health were suffering, and they were burning out. They felt trapped, the wheels were spinning, and their back was against the wall. They were busy but were not busy doing the right things in alignment.

I knew they had to be better way to manage their business goals and satisfy their investors so I started supporting the key areas of the business and identifying the highest value course of action allowing the leadership team to prioritise the things that will move the needle forward the quickest and most effective… reducing overwhelm, fast tracking progress and keeping their investors happy.
